The Queen Shack is pleased to announce support from The University of Winchester for the Try-It-Awards.
As a graduate of UOW I applied for a funding opportunity, delivered by Student Hubs to provide startup funding opportunities for Social Enterprises and the funding takes the form of so-called Try It awards.
The award has been offered so I can try my business idea and now I aim to find out if The Queen Shack is viable, whilst I learn more about what is needed and trying the project on a small scale first.
The award has been a big boost and given me more confidence and motivation with the project. Pitching The Queen Shack, in its planning form was exciting and I felt the passion stir inside. I cannot wait to share this vision with more people!
But now work starts…
The next stages are to assess the customer need with detailed and formal customer research, please do help by answering my short survey and to research other social enterprises within Hampshire.
I am excited to be working with The University of Winchester and The Queen Shack will proudly support and work with the university and other UOW enterprises. Winchester was shortlisted for the ‘University New to Social Enterprise’ award; it was the most successful university in the Southwest in terms of numbers of applications and awards and was used as a national research case study.
